We have formed a board of directors with various professional back grounds and expertise to help facilitate the accomplishment of our goals. There are still positions that we need filled to help us: Media Relations, Fundraising, Art Work Design, Accounting, and Secretary.

Bill Blackmore President FTSQZ
originally from Mason City IA and now a Fairfield Resident since 1982.  A former employee of both Telegroup and Danaher Oil, he now works as a site developer for large scale wind energy projects throughout the Midwest. Bill is familiar with how to build support for community projects and get the necessary approvals.  He has lived at 412 N. Court, exactly one block from the railroad tracks, for over 20 years.  Bill is a founding member of the Live on the Square Concert Series Committee. Until 2006 he was a good bassist for the Ron Dean Quintet, now sadly disbanded.

Mr Espy recently retired as a financial advisor & partner with Edward Jones Investments after more than 32 years. He serve several terms as President: Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce, and President of the Fairfield Golf & Country Club...as well as founding board member of the FF Entrepreneurs, I have been particularly active in non-profits raise capital for their worthy projects, including Habitat for Humanity, Community Childcare Center, Lord's Cupboard, Fairfield Library & Library Foundation, Jefferson Co Hospital Foundation & the Greater Jefferson Co Foundation. I believe this is very important to improve our train crossings.

Kenneth Ross Chairman Fund Raising Committee
CEO of Global ID Group (GID) Mr. Ross serves as the President of Fourth Street Partners, LLC, For the last 40 years he has held many important positions: Package Net, President of Atrium Information Group, a Board member of Vaytek , Fairfield Software . He is home owner in Fairfield for over 20 Years. Mr. Ross has his B.A. from the U. of Wisconsin-Madison and his M.B.A from New York University.

Roger Vohies  Safety Zone Construction Supervisor
Roger was born in Jefferson County and has raised his family in Fairfield. Roger Vorhies and Gus Schaus incorporated Schaus Vorhies Contracting in 1987 and perform steel erection throughout the Midwest. Roger is involved with area school administrators through different avenues to assist in modifying the current curriculum to meet the demands of today’s employers. He grew up next to a rural railroad crossing and shares the sentiment of the Fairfield Train Safety & Quiet Zone group.

Michael Borden Vice President
Mr. Borden lived in Fairfield for 13 years after moving here from Southern California. He has a Masters in Architecture and has been trained in India as a Vaastu Architect. .
